    I highly recommend Michael Roberts, he didn’t give up on my case at all! First he got the state to agree with a Graves Act Plea deal of 364 days in Essex County Jail for a possession of firearms, but he didn’t stop there he was determined to get me a lesser deal of probation. Mike made it his job to convince the judges that I was fit for probation & that he did. After a long hard fight I was sentenced to probation for two years , this is a victory!!!! Michael Robert is a great attorney who will not stop until his client is satisfied. Now I can start my journey of rebuilding my life instead of sitting behind bars going backwards.     Matt Teeter achieved the best outcome I could've hoped for in helping me to have my misdemeanor charges dismissed and to gain joint custody of my kids in a restraining order case. Matt isn't a divorce attorney but he has done all of the legwork in my case and I will be forever grateful.

    Matt is experienced, hard working, attentive, insightful, caring, and has a very strong reputation within the courts he works in. His trial preparation was very detailed and exhaustive. He helped me to understand the types of questions I would be asked in court, what they may mean to my case, and the simplest way to answer questions on the stand.

    I highly recommend Matt Teeter. He is friendly, knowledgeable, clever, honest, quick in responding to phone calls/texts and he is very efficient. I received a first offense DWI, and I had no idea what to do, let alone the questions I would even need to ask. He assured me he will do everything in his power that he can, in order to help me. He was not kidding!! He discussed my case with the prosecutor and it was agreed to drop the DWI to a reckless with possibility of short term loss of license and or interlock installed, however it was the judges call. The morning of my court hearing, the judge was not budging and was not fond of agreeing to the reckless. In the end, my case was DISMISSED! Besides the case being dismissed, the best part is that Matt did not give in to whatever was recommended; he fought for my case until the end, and I know my case was not easy.

    First and foremost. I just want to thank Matthew and his group for all their hard work on my case. From my first consultation, he was respectful and explained the entire process in full detail. He made me feel at ease and told me he will do everything in his power to help me with my case. I was caught speeding 105 in a 55 and my case was very clear and cut I was most likely going to lose my license. On the day of the court appearance, Matt made me feel calm and assured me everything will be ok.     This past year, I had to go to court for some more serious charges, for the first time in my life. I was scared out of my pants. Mr. Teeter is a godsend. He was recommended to me, and pricing was reasonable considering the motor vehicle offense charge and MJ paraphernalia charge I was facing. He went through every last detail of my discovery- and went above & beyond for my case. The most serious of my motor vehicle tickets was reduced, all other MV tickets were dropped. My drug paraphernalia charge was also dismissed. Without his guidance, I would have been up toilet's creek without a paddle. Court is intimidating- but it doesn't have to be.     Several months ago while driving home from school I was arrested for marijuana possession. My arrest was a horrible experience; the police were disrespectful to myself and my car but I ultimately believed the offense to be minor so I went to my first court appearance without representation. The prosecutor was dismissive and wouldn't let me get a word out without deriding me without knowing anything about me as a person. The judge was worse. He ran the court room as though he gained pleasure from seeing others suffer. I witnessed person after person for hours with charges just like mine being sentenced to months in jail even though it was their first offense. He would send people without representation to jail if he didn't like their choice of language when entering a not guilty plea. It was so depressing and demoralizing. I was in a backwards, Alabama-like town looking at punishments I didn't deserve and felt devastated. Realizing the severity of the situation, I knew I had to call Matt. Matt has helped me with traffic tickets in the past and got me the most positive result possible. After my first court appearance, I was in Matt's office 2 hours later. He said that the facts of my case were very against my favor but gave me multiple routes of action and advised me on which would best satisfy my goal of having no drug possession charges on my record. He makes himself readily available by phone email and text and always leaves you feeling better about your situation after having spoken with him because you know you're in good hands. On the day of my court appearance, Matt informed me of his plan of action before speaking with the prosecutor. He poked enough holes in their case and their protocol and was confident we were getting the best result. I overheard other local lawyers who were much more familiar with the judge/prosecutor in question literally shake their heads and laugh in disbelief, saying there was 0 shot of Matt getting the outcome that I wanted. Matt came back from speaking with the prosecutor and got all of my charged dismissed. I was absolutely thrilled. He also handled the unpleasant judge with the utmost care. I walked out of court that day with several hundred dollars in fines and no criminal record. Some might say that I was lucky but I would just say the truth; I have a great lawyer in Mr. Teeter and that I cannot recommend him enough.

    Best decision I ever made was hiring Matt as my attorney. I was arrested earlier this year for a CDS drug charge, which in the situation was not mine but I had it on me, which then shortly resulted in a violation of my last PTI, which I was short on completion about 6 or 7 days due to this arrest. He handled both cases professionally and honestly. He makes sure that you know what all your potential consequences could be, regardless of the situation, and works to get you off with the best possible solution. Long story short, he beat my first violation case, then my second case I got off with no loss of license, no community service, and best of all no probation at all, just fines! Simply put, he worked hard and dedicated his time and effort into my case, and not to mention he's hilarious!     Last October I was arrested for possession of marijuana not to mention I was also talking on the phone when I was initially pulled over. Long story short, lab reports kept getting delayed ultimately resulting in the drug charge being dismissed. Ended up paying $400 for my cell phone violation; that fine could have been a lot more but Matt got me the lesser amount.     I had an interesting DUI case due to the fact that I was not in an accident and was not pulled over. An incident had happened around me, and the officer that arrived on scene detected alcohol on my breath. I was hopeful to have the case thrown out, but Michael explained to me how difficult that is. Even though I was barely over the legal limit, Michael provided me with clear direction and identified the best way to approach the case, in spite of being in front of a notoriously difficult judge. Michael was able to negotiate with the prosecutor to come to an agreement. Michael's negotiations reduced the sentence significantly to 3 months loss of license and a careless driving ticket. If not for Michael, I would have faced a year without a license and substantial fines. Michael's fees were a bit higher than a number of other lawyers I had consulted with, but I can't argue with the results.

    Great guy! Very professional and helpful. Had four tickets that was given, the two main ones being a drug possession and open alcohol in the motor vechile. Those two got dropped as to another buddy of mine being in the car with me and owned up to it but was able to have it dropped and only had to pay the two tickets of tinted windows and careless driving but way better outcome than having the other two that were dropped.     After caught speeding on my way to work in Piscataway, I was hit with a reckless driving, a speeding ticket in excess of 30 mph, failure to signal, improper lane change, and a missing side mirror. The total tickets amounted to 14 pts and after 12 pts you lose your license. I was referred to Matthew by the Rutgers legal service. I would recommend any Rutgers student to use this service, it saved me a great deal of money and time and they only refer top notch lawyers. After sitting down with Mattew he explained how everything would work and my best case and worst case outcomes. Exactly what he had said for a best case scenario came true, a 2 pt speeding ticket doing 69 in a 55, a 0 pt unsafe driving ticket, and a low $31 mirror ticket. The final outcome, 2 pts, no loss of license, and high fines around $740 to pay for the speeding ticket and unsafe driving ticket. This may seem like a lot to pay in fines, but when you are dealing with such high points this is an excellent outcome, and I couldn't be happier. Now to be honest this all could have been avoided if I had drove the speed limit, but it's a lesson learned and an important stepping stone in growing up and become a more mature adult. To conclude, Matthew is an excellent lawyer and person who will take care of your case, make you feel at ease before the court date, and give you some good life tips on how to stay out of trouble in the future.

    I had hired Mr Roberts to appeal a FID denial in NJ. I was very impressed with his attention to detail and knowledge regarding this matter.     New Jersey law says patrons must be at least 21 years old to gamble at casinos in Atlantic City. People under 21 can only be on the casino floor if they are walking through it on their way to another room where gambling is not taking place, such as a restaurant. The state of NJ needs to show that the defendant is under 21, generally shown by ID when admitted to casino security .Then, the state needs to show that the defendant was gambling through camera footage. The NJ state statute for under age gambling cases, there are no plea bargains in A.C.; where they would dismiss the charge in exchange for a non-criminal offense. When pleading guilty, penalties include a driver’s license suspension for 6 months, a disorderly person’s offense (misdemeanor) and a $500-1,000 fine. At the time of my situation in Caesar’s Casino in A.C. I was 20 years of age and at a .99 cent slot machine with my boyfriend. I was not there any longer than 10 minutes and a casino floor guy approached me as I was honest and polite and showed my driver’s license. They took me in the back room and had me sign a paper telling me I was banned from all Caesar’s casinos and that I would have to appear on my court date with the summons they wrote me. It was very scary and I cried and had a terrible experience in such a short amount of time. After doing research I looked up attorneys for criminal offenses and for my case, I hired Matthew Teeter to represent me and he appeared on my behalf since I’m a full time student and part time employee as well. I did not want to plead guilty for this error in my life, this mistake would potentially hurt my future with potential jobs and several other things as well. This was such a wise investment my mom and I did recently. Matthew helped me a lot and was great with communicating with emails and even urgent text messages.     A couple months ago I was pulled over by a police-officer who seemed hungry to bust someone for drug possession. He claimed that he smelled the odor of marijuana in my car despite me never smoking in or having it in my car. Using this as probable cause, he justified the search of my vehicle. He was disappointed to not find what he was looking for, although did end up finding a fragment of an adderall pill I intended to use for studying. He decided to arrest me, and I felt absolutely screwed and hopeless. He assured me I would have the option of being put in a conditional program where I would undergo a year of supervised probation in which I would have to submit to random drug tests. This caused a lot of pressure and mental anguish since it is a very close time for me to apply to grad-school, and although abstaining for all drugs for a year would not be an issue for me, the fact that having 'big-brother' watch over me would certainly make me a bit paranoid. It was then that I decided to look for legal representation in my area. I saw Mr. Teeter's office was a little far from me, yet the reviews I saw online about him were too stellar to pass up, and plus he offered free consultation, so I thought 'why not?'. Upon entering his office he was quick to offer me coffee and listen to my story. He took everything in and was able to come up with a few methods of attack to where we could get a few of the charges against me dropped, and get some of the more severe ones(CDS in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance) downgraded. I have needed to hire a lawyer in the past, but there was something much different about Matt's demeanor. He actually urged me to go get second opinion's from other lawyer. However, I was very satisfied with how he presented himself, his ability to break down complex legal terminology into concise and understandable information, and his no-nonsense bluntness and realism regarding my options. I decided to come back later that day with my mother to feel him out and I ended up coming back that very next business day to hire his services. During the entire process Matt was available to take any questions my parents or I had for him via phone-call. Reaching him was never an issue when we needed to speak to him. He never tried to inflate the facts of the situation and was always truthful and upfront with what he was going to do. He weighed several options in clear terms in front of me and made sure I was part of this process the entire time, and he never did anything without consulting me first. After hiring him, I felt so much better at night and was able to sleep well again for the first time after getting arrested. About 2 months after being arrested and waiting for evidence to be sent to us, my court date arrived. What Mr. Teeter was able to do for me was nothing short of incredible. While I was potentially facing an offense which carried up to 6 months and jail, it was much more likely that I would be eligible for the conditional program in which I would be subjected to a probationary period of 12 months in addition to about 1,000 dollars in fees. If I decided to go for the program I would never be able to use any sort of pre-trial intervention again. Not only that, but unless I got it expunged, that information could be visible to people doing a background check. Even then, using that expungement would mean that I could never have my record expunged again. Ultimately Teeter worked his magic and got everything reduced, and I only had to end up paying a couple hundred dollars in fines. I didn't have to enroll in the conditional program and my anxiety was completely quelled. I cant promise that if you hire him that you will have the same amount of luck that I had. But looking at all of his reviews online, it seems very likely that this isn't luck at work, but rather the skills of a competent attorney.

After multiple court appearances and meetings with the prosecutor, he was able to negotiate a reasonable punishment for the alleged offenses. Despite the length of the process and high number of court appearances, Mike kept to the price originally agreed upon and did not attempt to charge additional fees for his efforts.

    Mr. Roberts was very helpful with keeping calm and making sure that I knew what I was getting into when dealing with my specific situation.
